Alison Brie ... with a British accent

In The Five-Year Engagement (opening tomorrow), Alison Brie plays the sister of Emily Blunt's character. As Blunt is British, this role required Brie to adopt a British accent of her own. According to her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Brie had luckily been randomly developing just such an accent — perfectly timed to her role in The Five-Year Engagement.



Brie is on the verge of going big (bigger than her current Internet fan base, that is). I remember first seeing her on Mad Men years ago and then in the Community pilot two and a half seasons ago. Despite being on the brink of stardom, I'd still be totally cool if Alison Brie ever wanted to give me a call. I could probably make some time to hang out.
