Jimmy Fallon's 'SNL' audition: The most Jimmy Fallonish 8 minutes ever

Before he was the king of everything NBC (and NBC Universal, as I learned during my visit to Universal Studios), Jimmy Fallon was just a Ted Mosby doppelgänger auditioning for Saturday Night Live. His entire 1998 audition was only eight minutes long, but many of the Fallon standards — the Adam Sandler impression, the parody songs — were already formed.

A quick search around the Internet will show that there are still vocal Jimmy Fallon detractors out there, but it's impressive to look at how far he's come. From a skinny kid auditioning for SNL to cracking up during SNL skits to starring in Taxi with Queen Latifah. Then, somehow, he replaces Conan, hosts the Emmy and finds himself slow jamming the news with President Barack Obama.
