'The Muppets 2' has a logo

I was/am a huge fan of 2011's relaunch of the Muppets film franchise. I thought Jason Segel and team did such a great job bringing the property back to life in a way that respected the characters while still modernizing them. It would have been very easy to give the Muppets the standard "sunglasses and backwards hat" treatment that we've seen franchises like Alvin and Chipmunks and the Smurfs receive.



Segel has already made it known that he won't be in The Muppets 2, but James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller will both be back to direct and write the film, respectively. I'd love to see Segel come back too, but his goal was to bring the Muppets back to the big screen, and he accomplished that very successfully. Don't forget, The Muppets is an Oscar winner, taking home a statuette for Man or Muppet.

The hand making the "2" appears to be Walter's, so I'm assuming the newest Muppet will return for the sequel even though his on-screen brother won't be back.
