'Happy Endings' to Return for a Third Season
Happy Endings is, without a doubt in my mind, one of the funniest and most creative shows on TV right now, so it's with great pleasure that I pass along the news that ABC has picked up the sitcom for a third season. There was some fear that ABC might not pick Happy Endings up (I dunno, TV networks do dumb things), so this is awesome news. We'll get 22 episodes starting in the fall, and I assume the show will hold onto its post-Modern Family spot.
I fell for the show during its short first season, and become an even more devoted follower during its brilliant second season. The characters were fleshed out during this past season, with Elisha Cuthbert's Alex going from a character that the writers weren't really sure what to do with to a character that delivers some of the best laughs week after week. Beyond that, the entire cast stepped it up in Season 2. I can't wait to see what Happy Endings has in store for us in Season 3.
