BEST OF THE GUESTS: Jason Segel Reveals Who the 'How I Met Your Mother' Mother Is

Just because most of the late-night talk shows are on break this week, doesn't mean that The Bill Kuchman Chronicle isn't going to still find other ways to distract you while you should be working. While promoting The Five-Year Engagement, Jason Segel stopped by the April 26, 2012, episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Segel told Jimmy Fallon that he's been telling people that How I Met Your Mother's eponymous mother is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To Segel's surprise, Clinton actually wrote back to him saying that she's pretty busy with politics right now, but if her schedule ever frees up, she'd love to work with him.

Segel and Fallon also discussed Robert De Niro, and I find it funny to hear Fallon talk so glowingly of the actor. De Niro was the very first guest Fallon had on Late Night, and the interview bombed to the point where people basically started guessing how many more days Fallon had left at the Late Night desk.
