TRAILER: 'The Master' Is Absolutely About Scientology, Right?

After two teaser trailers that focused on Joaquin Phoenix's character, The Master finally has a full trailer, giving us a fuller look at director Paul Thomas Anderson's next film. This trailer shows us even more of the charismatic man (and possible cult leader) that Philip Seymour Hoffman plays.

The director hasn't released a film since 2007's There Will Be Blood, but it appears that he's been saving up his energy for a film that will be quite controversial. The studio can keep denying that The Master is about the Church of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard all it wants, but Anderson is heading straight for the group with this one. The timing of Katie Holmes' and Tom Cruise's divorce and the subsequent focus on Scientology can only help promote The Master, right?
