Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb Will Return for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'
For the most part, I figured Webb's return would happen, but with the way studios swap franchise directors these days (see Gary Ross with The Hunger Games and Rupert Wyatt with Rise of the Planet of the Apes), you never know anymore. While it was easy to take shots at The Amazing Spider-Man for exploring similar themes and storylines as 2002's Spider-Man, the reboot was the best Spider-Man movie we've gotten yet. Sam Raimi's versions have grown dated very quickly, and Webb captured Peter Parker and Spider-Man better than any of those other movies did.
With Emma Stone returning as Gwen Stacy, I look forward to seeing what The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has in store for us. Maybe a certain green-hued villain? Maybe a certain bridge? The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

Mysterio, colliding universes, Toby Sam Raimi's spiderman AND Webb's spiderman in the same movie. Also, Don Glover as the black spiderman and there you have it, the spidermen movie.

I'm all for Donald Glover as Miles Morales and a Spider-Men movie. Let's leave Toby "Half of my lines are just me going 'AARRGGHHHMMMM' " Maguire out of it though.
