OSCARINDEX: 'Lincoln' Hot on the Heels of 'The Master'

The Bill Kuchman Chronicle OscarIndex is a nifty chart of the top ten films that you should be paying attention to in order to be ready for the the Oscars. Each film on the list is assigned an OscarIndex number, with the No. 1 film getting a score of 100. The following nine films then get OscarIndex numbers based on how much buzz they have going into the Academy Awards compared to the No. 1 film.

After taking back the No. 1 spot last week, Lincoln continues to charge ahead. Steven Spielberg's upcoming Abraham Lincoln film is now just nine points away from The Master, by far the closest any film has gotten to Paul Thomas Anderson's film since the OscarIndex started. The rest of the chart remains the same as last week, with Silver Linings Playbook, Les Misérables and Argo inching upward. Beyond the top ten, Flight made the jump into a double-digit score. Denzel Washington's performance seems to be slowly gathering praise. Can Flight crack the OscarIndex over the next few weeks?

Head past the jump to check out the full OscarIndex: October 24, 2012 Edition.
