OSCARINDEX: 'Silver Linings Playbook' Inches Closer to 'The Master'

The Bill Kuchman Chronicle OscarIndex is a nifty chart of the top ten films that you should be paying attention to in order to be ready for the the Oscars. Each film on the list is assigned an OscarIndex number, with the No. 1 film getting a score of 100. The following nine films then get OscarIndex numbers based on how much buzz they have going into the Academy Awards compared to the No. 1 film.

Not much change in the OscarIndex from last week to this week. Silver Linings Playbook took full control of the No. 2 spot, tightening the gap between No. 2 and The Master closer than any film has yet. The Master had leads of 34 points, 33 points and 32 points during the first three editions of the OscarIndex, but Silver Linings Playbook has now brought that lead down to 28 points. Lincoln, Les Misérables and Argo all inched up toward The Master too.

Head past the jump to check out the full OscarIndex: October 2, 2012 Edition.
