Thanksgiving with Kate McKinnon and Jeremy Renner: Did 'SNL' Not Air Its Best Sketch?
Thanks to the Internet, we now get to see Saturday Night Live sketches that never made it to air. These sketches are filmed during dress rehearsal but for one reason or another get cut before the actual show. Past dress rehearsal sketches include Bobby Moynihan's first time as the Hulk and the brutal President Barack Obama sketch that SNL suspiciously chose to not air the weekend before the election.
While this weekend's SNL was a solid episode, Lorne Michaels or whoever makes this kind of decision cut what could've been the night's funniest sketch. Kate McKinnon and Renner played a crazy couple whose fighting has spilled over into another family's attempt at a peaceful Thanksgiving dinner. Renner was better in this sketch than he was in any sketch that actually aired during his episode. Too bad SNL didn't include it.
UPDATE: NBC killed the ability to embed this sketch, but you can still watch it on Yahoo!.
