Nickelodeon Plans 'iCarly'/'Victorious' Spinoff Featuring Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande
It looks like Jimmy Fallon won't have to worry about his beloved iCarly going away. While Miranda Cosgrove's series signed off this past week, iCarly star Jenette McCurdy will be joining forces with another Nickelodeon star in a new show. Victorious' Ariana Grande and McCurdy will team up for Sam & Cat, according to a Deadline report.
Both are reprising their roles in Sam & Cat, in which the feisty Sam Puckett (McCurdy) and daffy Cat Valentine (Grande) become best buddies and unlikely roommates. They love their freedom and independence but quickly realize that fun and adventure do not come cheap. Rather than get traditional after-school jobs, Sam and Cat become teen entrepreneurs by starting their own baby-sitting business.Based on the photos I found while looking for a banner for this post, McCurdy and Grande hang out a lot already, so the actresses shouldn't have any problem when it comes to chemistry. I mean, if I ever saw a picture of Dan Harmon and Chevy Chase sharing a piece of spaghetti, I wouldn't have ever had any worries about Community.
