Kristen Bell Will Be Leslie Knope's 'Parks and Recreation' City Council Nemesis

If those damn citizens of Eagleton didn't already think they were so much better than the people of Pawnee, Parks and Recreation's latest guest star isn't going to help tone down their egos. On Thursday, Entertainment Weekly broke the news that Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell had signed on for an episode of Parks and Rec. She'll play Ingrid, "a snooty City Councilwoman from Eagleton."

Parks and Recreation returns for its sixth season on Sept. 26, which is pretty impressive since the show has never been one of NBC's highest rated shows. It is one of the funniest series on TV, with a knack for snagging great guest stars. It's impossible to think that Bell could live up to someone like Patton Oswalt and his Star Wars filibuster, but hopefully the actress will summon some of that Forgetting Sarah Marshall humor and give Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope a run for her money.
