TRAILER: George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman and Bill Murray Face the Nazis as 'Monuments Men'

If you took Ocean's Eleven, added Bill Murray and John Goodman, tasked the team with saving priceless goods instead of stealing them, and faced them off against the Nazis instead of casino owners, you would have Monuments Men. Oh, and you'd unfortunately have to lose Brad Pitt too, despite his proven prowess at killing Nat-zees.

Monuments Men tells the story of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives program, which during World War II, sought to protect art, architecture and other cultural elements against destruction and theft at the hands of Hitler and the Nazis. In addition to directing, George Clooney also stars in the movie, along with Matt Damon, Murray, Goodman, Cate Blanchett and Juan Dujardin.

The film hits theaters on Dec. 18 and is sure to be a major Oscar contender. Head past the jump to check out the first trailer for Monuments Men.
