'Star Wars: Rebels' Gets an Early Teaser Trailer

Star Wars: Rebels isn't scheduled to premiere on Disney XD until sometime in 2014, but that isn't stopping Lucasfilm from kicking off its promotional campaign for the new animated series. On Monday, a brief teaser trailer for Star Wars: Rebels premiered, giving Star Wars fans an animated version of a very familiar opening scene.

While the cast hasn't been confirmed yet, various reports have Freddie Prinze Jr., David Oyelowo, Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Jay Blum in talks to join the show's voice cast. Star Wars: Rebels will be set in the time period between Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope, moving the public's attention away from the prequel era and closer to the Original Trilogy.
