FIRST LOOK: Optimus Prime Debuts New 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Paint Job
While Michael Bay has always tinkered with the look of the alien robots in his Transformers movies, the director and explosions extraordinaire has been talking about really changing things up for Transformers: Age of Extinction. The movie, which will launch a new trilogy and is allegedly the last installment Bay will direct, hits theaters next June, but we haven't seen much from the movie yet.
On Monday, Empire changed that, debuting the magazine's Transformers: Age of Extinction cover. Sure, the cover features Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz, but the real attraction is Optimus Prime in his new form. The leader of the Autobots is now showing some battle wear, with formerly pristine painted red-and-blue flames scuffed and worn.
Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27, 2014. Oh, there'll be Dinobots too.
