New 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Poster Reveals Electro, Rhino and Green Goblin

We can stop guessing whether or not the Sinister Six is happening in one of the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Thanks to Spider-Man News and Twitter user Jeser Piedra, we have a (kind of blurry and slightly skewed) look at the first poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The poster claims that "His Greatest Battle Begins," which probably refers to the fact that Spidey is facing off against Electro, Rhino and Green Goblin.

This poster is our first look at what Paul Giamatti's Rhino will look like. It's kind of hard to make out, but it appears that this movie's take on the Rhino will be some kind of mechanical suit. We've known what Jamie Foxx's Electro will look like for awhile now, but ... um ... Green Goblin? In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chris Cooper plays Norman Osborn and Dane DeHaan plays his son, Harry. Which one of those guys will be in the Green Goblin armor? I wish we had a clearer view, since I really want to know what version of the Green Goblin director Marc Webb is going with — comics classic, Sam Raimi armored Goblin or Ultimate Spider-Man mutated version?

We learned back in June that Sony has Spidey sequels planned for 2016 and 2018, with the guess being that the studio was spreading the story out in order to properly introduce the Sinister Six (and probably fit in the Death of Gwen Stacy storyline). This poster shows half of the Sinister Six already in action. Who else will fill out that roster? Does the Lizard come back? Do we see a new version of Doc Ock?

With the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 debuting on Dec. 5, we should get a few answers to these questions next week. I can't wait to see what Webb, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone do with their second movie.
