'How to Train Your Dragon 2' Trailer Soars

The first full trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2 hit the Internet on Thursday, showing off what looks like an impressive sequel to one of DreamWorks Animation's best films.

I'm usually not a fan of DreamWorks Animation, but the first How to Train Your Dragon is the studio's most Pixar-esque movie, even out-Pixaring Pixar offerings like the two Cars movies and Brave. How to Train Your Dragon was full of great characters and completely succeeded when it came to creating the dragon Toothless, who's basically a silent character.

The new trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2 gives a few glimpses into the movie's plot. Jay Baruchel's Hiccup and Toothless stumble across a woman who can control dragons, just like Hiccup. The trailer quickly reveals why they share this trait. The Vikings and dragons' way of life is threatened when an army hoping to steal the dragons arrives.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 stars the voice talents of Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera. Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, TJ Miller, Kristen Wiig, Cate Blanchett, Kit Harrington and Djimon Hounsou. The movie opens on June 13, 2014.
