Jim Parsons to Host 'SNL'

Saturday Night Live has revealed who will host the 14th episode of the show's 39th season.

Jim Parsons (March 1 with musical guest Beck): Does Lorne Michaels owe CBS a favor? This will be the second episode in a row hosted by a castmember from a CBS sitcom (last episode was Mike and Molly's Melissa McCarthy and now it's The Big Bang Theory's Parsons), and unfortunately none of the talented How I Met Your Mother cast has been invited to SNL yet this season.* Parsons will make his SNL debut after the Olympics, the same episode when Colin Jost co-anchors "Weekend Update" for the first time.
