'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Is Coming to Netflix: Check Out Yoda Talking to Qui-Gon Jinn's Ghost
When Disney bought Lucasfilm and started recalibrating Star Wars to shift the focus from the prequel era to the Original Trilogy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was an unfortunate cut. Director Dave Filoni and his team was already at work on a sixth season, but after Disney canceled the series, it was unclear if we would ever see those episodes.
On Thursday, Star Wars announced that it would not only release the sixth season — being called "The Lost Missions" — but the entire run on Netflix. The series will become available on March 7.
We've already seen clips from The Clone Wars' final season hinting at Order 66 and Sifo-Dyas. USA Today debuted a clip from "The Lost Missions" featuring Qui-Gon Jinn reaching out from the beyond to teach Yoda about the Living Force. Considering that this was a plotline cut from Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, it's pretty cool to see it showing up in The Clone Wars.
