The Muppets Join Jimmy Fallon to Say Goodbye to 'Late Night'

The final episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon aired on Friday, and while Jay Leno got luminaries like Kim Kardashian for his final episode the night before, Jimmy Fallon was joined by the greatest group of entertainers in world history: The Muppets.

Kermit, Miss Piggy and the entire gang of Muppets sang The Band's "The Weight" with Fallon to close out this version of Late Night's five-year run. Fallon also played drums during the song, a skill I didn't know he had.

At the end of the song, Fallon left Studio 6A, walked down the hallway, and entered his Tonight Show set in Studio 6B. As Popculturology copy editor Tim Kuchman pointed out to me after the episode, Fallon was actually returning his previous Late Night home, as he had only been in Studio 6A while NBC renovated Studio 6B for The Tonight Show.

Fallon returns as the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 17.
