John Mulaney and Nasim Pedrad Star in Fox's 'Mulaney' Trailer

Is Nasim Pedrad about to leave Saturday Night Live? When Fox announced its upcoming fall schedule, it gave Mulaney a spot with The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Family Guy in the network's new Sunday night comedy lineup. Former SNL writer John Mulaney created, produces, writes and stars in Mulaney.

The first trailer for Mulaney debuted on Monday, giving us our first look at how Mulaney's comedy translates to a sitcom. Mulaney has been in the works for awhile, with NBC originally passing on the show. Fox then picked up Mulaney for six episodes and recently expanded its order to 13 episodes.

During his SNL time, Mulaney was best known for creating Stefon with Bill Hader. The comedian seemed to be next in line to replace Seth Meyers as head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor, but left SNL before Meyers did.

Pedrad has been attached to Mulaney since April 2013. NBC and Lorne Michaels (who's a producer on Mulaney) have yet to comment on whether Pedrad will leave SNL now that Mulaney has a spot on Fox's lineup. With Mulaney only having a 13-episode order, Pedrad would be smart to stick with SNL until Mulaney is locked in for longer at Fox.
