'Fast and Furious 7' Release Date Moves Up a Week
Despite reports that Vin Diesel has been having issues with the filming of Fast and Furious 7, Universal Pictures announced on Wednesday that the movie is moving up a week. Originally scheduled to open on April 10, 2015, Fast and Furious 7 will now open on April 3.
Since the death of franchise star Paul Walker in December, Fast and Furious 7 has moved along slowly and cautiously. Universal is currently using Walker's two younger brothers as stand-ins for the late actor, something that Diesel has expressed dissatisfaction with.
"With our new ambitious vfx team, the whole cast and crew has had to adjust to this awkward and uncomfortable process of pixels over people," Diesel wrote in a June Facebook post. "Aside from the obvious strains it places on the director, the challenge is not to allow it to compromise what makes the character so special."
Based on everything Fast and Furious 7 has already had to deal with, I'm really surprised Universal is moving the movie up a week.
