Jamie Foxx to Play Mike Tyson in Biopic

Jamie Foxx has starred in a biopic about an icon (Ray), acted in a boxing film (Ali) and portrayed a sometimes comical villain (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). With his next project, Foxx looks to combine all three. Variety reports that the actor will portray Mike Tyson in an upcoming untitled biopic about the boxer's life.

Variety writes that the film "is still coming together and is currently without a studio, but once the final details are ironed out and it is presented to the market, it shouldn’t be hard to interest a distributor."

Foxx isn't the only Oscar-caliber talent attached to this movie. The Wolf of Wall Street scribe Terence Winter is on board to write the picture's script.

No word yet on which parts of Tyson's life the movie will cover, but I'm hoping we get a few scenes featuring Tyson filming The Hangover.
