(Almost) Wonder Woman Joins 'Agents of SHIELD' as Mockingbird

Agents of SHIELD is adding Wonder Woman to its roster ... well, almost. Marvel announced on Tuesday that Adrianne Palicki had joined the ABC series, playing Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird. Palicki previously almost played Wonder Woman in a proposed NBC series. That series, produced by David E. Kelley, bombed before it was even picked up.

The Executive Producers of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." have sent a Morse code to say they've found their Mockingbird!

Adrianne Palicki will appear as Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird, in the second season of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."--but whether she'll play friend or foe to Coulson and his team, we can't say. Known for her work in "Friday Night Lights" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," Palicki most recently appeared in several episodes of "About a Boy."

Agents of SHIELD will return for its second season on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
