Bill Hader to Host 'SNL'

Saturday Night Live has revealed who will host the third episode of the show's 40th season.

Bill Hader (Oct. 11 with musical guest Hozer): I want SNL to follow one simple rule this season: No returning castmembers unless they're hosting. That means no Kristen Wiig cameos. No Fred Armisen visits to "Weekend Update." Let the current cast find their own footing without having to worry about old castmembers looming all the time. This was one of SNL's biggest problems last season — and I have a feeling the show is going to fall in that trap once again when Hader hosts the third episode of this season. Can SNL resist bringing back Wiig or Seth Meyers when Hader returns as host?
