Bryan Singer to Direct 'X-Men: Apocalypse'
While the news isn't much of a surprise to anyone who's been following the progress of the upcoming X-Men installment, Deadline confirmed on Monday that Fox closed a deal with Singer to direct the film.
X-Men: Days of Future Past stands as the best X-Men movie, so this is great news. Singer has proven that he gets this franchise better than anyone else, launching the modern superhero genre with the first X-Men, giving it real meaning with X2: X-Men United and putting the series on the same level as the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Days of Future Past. Singer's non-X-Men movies have been shaky, so the more he sticks with the franchise, the better.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27, 2016.
