'You Burn With Us!': THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1 Trailer

I really wish the final Hunger Games book wasn't being split into two movies. Watching the newly released trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, it's easy to get caught up in how great this movie looks ... only to remember that it's going to abruptly end at one point and we're going to have to wait a year to find out how things end. (Yes, I know I could just read the book to see how things end.)

Look, I know that Lionsgate wants to wring as much cash out of this franchise as possible, but if there are just three books, there should be just three movies. We didn't get Return of the Jedi — Part 1 and Return of the Jedi — Part 2. Instead of just throwing your hands up and saying there's too much to fit into one movie, hire some screenwriters who can make hard choices and adapt the book into a single film. I'm looking at you, Peter Jackson.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 opens on Nov. 21, 2014. It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. The movie is directed by Francis Lawrence.
