James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams to Host SNL
Saturday Night Live has revealed who will host the eighth, ninth and tenth episodes of the show's 40th season.
James Franco (Dec. 6 with musical guest Nicki Minaj): Franco will host SNL for the third time, appearing to promote the upcoming The Interview. My memory of the last time Franco hosted is fuzzy, but I kind of remember him being a funny host. Knowing Franco, it'll probably be some sort of meta experiment.
Martin Freeman (Dec. 13 with musical guest Charli XCX): I guess it takes three Hobbit movies to finally land an SNL hosting gig. This will be Freeman's first time hosting.
Amy Adams (Dec. 20 with musical guests One Direction): It's been several years since Adams hosted SNL, and I'm happy to see her return. She was a energetic and up-for-anything host during his inaugural hosting gig, and the actress has always been someone I've hoped would host again. Adams will be this year's SNL host, a role that many fans of the show were probably hoping would be Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake again.
