Shailene Woodley in Talks to Join Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Oliver Stone's Andrew Snowden Movie
Shailene Woodley's rapidly rising career is about to get another boost. The actress is in talks to join director Oliver Stone's Edward Snowden movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Woodley would play the female lead opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who already joined the project to play Snowden.
THR reports that the untitled movie is "based on Luke Harding's The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man and Time of the Octopus, the upcoming novel from Snowden’s Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena."
Woodley would play Snowden's girlfriend, Lindsay Mills. She's come a long way since the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager, earning praise opposite of George Clooney in The Descendants before moving onto critical and box office hits like The Spectacular Now, The Fault in Our Stars and the Divergent series.
