STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Will Be Titled STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
When Luke Skywalker returns to theaters in December 2015, the Force will return too. Lucas film revealed on Thursday that Star Wars: Episode VII will officially be titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The logo for The Force Awakens doesn't follow the traditional look that Lucasfilm had been branding the Star Wars movies with since Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace hit theaters in 1999. In fact, it appears that Episode VII won't even be a part of this movie's title. Unless Lucasfilm just left it out for this early logo. (Or not.)
The subtitle does seem to match what the folks over at MakingStarsWars.net have been reporting lately ...
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on Dec. 18, 2015. The movie is directed by JJ Abrams and stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
