What to Expect in the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Teaser Trailer
A Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer exists. Take a second to nerd out over that fact.
With several reports saying that the first teaser for the upcoming Star Wars sequel is due within weeks, we now have two descriptions of what to expect from that trailer.
Badass Digest weighed in first on Monday, offering the following description:
Making Star Wars followed up with its own breakdown after that:
Is it possible to read what might be in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer and not want to just run in circles? There's a new Star Wars movie ... and we're going to get see something from it. Soon.
The question is how will Lucasfilm release this trailer? Odds are it'll be with a Disney property. That means it could air during an ABC show (although that didn't work well last time Disney planned on doing that with an anticipated trailer), on Disney XD during Star Wars Rebels or in front of an upcoming Disney movie like Into the Woods.

What's it going to be like? If my sources are correct (and this is a big IF. These sources have been mighty reliable in the past, and if they're wrong I believe they're wrong honestly, ie they're not bullshitting me), it'll be short. And when I say short, I mean one minute long. It's going to have The Force Theme played on woodwinds, softly, over flashing images of the main leads, each fading to black. There's no dialogue, just reveals of the characters. And then the music swells up into a full orchestral piece - perhaps what John Williams recorded this weekend? - and we hear a female voice, likely Daisy Ridley's, saying "Wake up."
And then the title card appears - Star Wars: The Force Awakens - and we see the Millennium Falcon, firing blasters, coming right at the camera.
Making Star Wars followed up with its own breakdown after that:
Here is some information from someone that briefly saw the new teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The information is not organized in order. This is the gist of what I’m told we will see. This is not a full teaser description, obviously. The information sounds like fun!
• Fade in from black, shots of the dunes, Boyega pops in to the shot from below. He’s wearing white Stormtrooper armor but he doesn’t have a helmet on.
• In the teaser we only see Boyega and Ridley really.
• Ridley boards a speeder.
• She has a helmet on like Endor Leia, a design with pop-down goggles.
• A shot of Ridley’s speeder approaching the station (the TMZ set we saw).
• We see the new Stormtroopers on a transport. The flight is turbulent.
• New X-wings.
• TIE Fighters.
• The new ball droid that’s a gyroscope and belongs to “Kira.”
• The new “Sith” is also revealed. He has a cross-beam lightsaber and the beam is a bit wilder and more super-charged than your normal lightsaber.
• The Falcon.
This information differs from what we first heard that we will see Oscar Issac and a few other things. I also could not get it confirmed that the line “wake up” was in the teaser.
