ADVENTURE TIME Movie Heading to the Big Screen
I haven't kept up with Adventure Time as much as I should, but the Cartoon Network series always impresses me. It's unique, a bit bizarre and funny in its own weird way. Adventure Time is about to make the jump from TV to the big screen, according to a Deadline report.
Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward will write and produce the cinematic adaption. He'll be joined by The Lego Movie co-director Chris McKay, who will produce with Roy Lee. The Adventure Time movie is being developed by Warner Bros. McKay already has a relationship with the studio, working on The Lego Movie and currently developing The Lego Batman Movie with Warner Bros.
If you're not familiar with Adventure Time, the series is about a boy named Finn and a dog named Jake. The duo lives in the Land of Ooo, which is possibly a post-apocalyptic Earth. The series is filled with misunderstood villains like the Ice Kings, musical vampires like Marceline and a bunch of talking candy.
Adventure Time is currently airing its sixth season.
