Kenan Thompson Will Return to SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Next Season

Like Russ Tyler in D3: The Mighty Ducks, Kenan Thompson will be back. Despite rumors to the contrary, Thompson will return for the next season of Saturday Night Live. The actor appeared on Marc Maron's WTF podcast and made it clear to Maron that he wasn't going anywhere.

"Well they said that at the beginning [of the season] for some reason," Thompson told Maron (via Entertainment Weekly). "People I guess thought they had some info and just threw that story out. And we denied it immediately, but the only thing people remember is [that someone said I was leaving]."

Thompson has been on SNL since 2003, making him the veteran of the current cast. There are times when I think the show would benefit from Thompson leaving, but his absence would be immediately noticeable.
