WAR OF THE PLANET OF APES: Next PLANET OF THE APES Movie Gets a Title

The current Planet of the Apes series has already risen and dawned. Next, the franchise will go to war. Collider is reporting that the upcoming sequel will titled War of the Planet of the Apes.

It's a good title, but a predictable one. Back in January, I called that the sequel to last summer's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes would titled War for the Planet of the Apes. You'll notice that I went with "for" instead of "of," which sounds much better. There's always the chance that Collider's sources misheard that part of the title.

War of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled to hit theaters on July 14, 2017.
