'300: Rise of Empire' Trailer Has Eva Green and Sullivan Stapleton on a Boat

A new trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire hit the Internet on Wednesday, showing off the upcoming sequel/prequel/sidequel to Zack Snyder's 300. The new movie intends to fill in gaps in the story, showing how Rodrigo Santoro's Xerxes became a god in addition to revealing what Lena Headey's Queen Gorgo did after the Persians killed her husband. (The answer is revenge.)

Eva Green and Sullivan Stapelton join 300: Rise of an Empire as new characters, playing military leaders of the Persians and Greeks. From the looks of the trailer, the duo will eventually clash in battle and, if the 2:05-mark of the trailer is telling the truth, even find time for some traitorous romance?

300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters on March 7, 2014.
