ABC Unveils Newest Shows: John Locke Is Back, Everyone's an Alien, and Sarah Chalke

Joining NBC and FOX, ABC announced its fall lineup on Tuesday. Besides moving Happy Endings to Tuesdays, ABC does have plans for a few new shows. Three shows stood out to me: 666 Park Avenue, which is the return of Terry O'Quinn (Lost's John Locke) to ABC; The Neighbors, which is Modern Family's new partner on Wednesday; and How to Live With Your Parents, Sarah Chalke's new show.

666 Park Avenue will air on Sundays and The Neighbors will air on Wednesdays, while How to Live With Your Parents will hold until midseason.

666 Park Avenue

John Locke returns to ABC with 666 Park Avenue, a show about a hotel with some dark secrets. The show looks a little soapy, but it's Terry O'Quinn back in a creepy role, something he perfected while playing Locke on Lost.

The Neighbors

So Modern Family and The Neighbors are kind of the same show ... ? They're both about ... families? OK, so the whole alien thing kind of threw me when I first watched the trailer for The Neighbors. From what I understood, ABC was moving Happy Endings in order to pair Modern Family with a more suitable match, but is The Neighbors really that show? Any guesses of how many episodes air before the show gets canceled? I think The Neighbors will hang around longer than it should due to the price tag the special effects carry.

How to Live With Your Parents

Sarah Chalke has been fantastic in almost every show she's been in, starting with Scrubs and including her time as Stella in How I Met Your Mother (even though she broke Ted Mosby's heart). I even liked her with Jason Biggs in last year's short-lived Mad Love. I want this show to work for her. Also, when did Brad Garrett cross over from playing a character dealing with his parents (Everybody Loves Raymond) to playing one of those parents himself? How to Live With Your Parents will join ABC's Tuesday lineup after Dancing With the Stars is over, pairing with the upcoming The Family tools in the hour before Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.
