ABC's New Lineup: 'Happy Endings' Moves to Tuesdays

After NBC and FOX did it earlier this week, ABC announced its fall lineup this morning, revealing that Happy Endings would move to Tuesdays. ABC will air Jami Gertz's new show, The Neighbors, at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays now.

Happy Endings has long had the protection of Modern Family as a lead-in, so I was originally dismayed to learn that Happy Endings would be moving. After looking over ABC's new schedule, though, I noticed that the network will will use the Dancing With the Stars results show as Happy Endings' new lead-in. That's a good thing, right? People love Dancing With the Stars, right?

ABC appears to be giving Happy Endings a vote of confidence with this move, as the comedy will now serve as the lead-in for the sophomore comedy, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.

If this move to Tuesdays helps build the Happy Endings audience, I'm all for it. I'll just have to rearrange my viewing schedule. It's still months away, but you might want to set your DVR to record Happy Endings for a couple extra minutes. Dancing With the Stars is a live show, so it always has the potential to run long.
