'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' to Hit Theaters in May 2014

No plot details on the Rise of the Planet of Apes sequel yet, but the film does have an official title and a release date. Andy Serkis will return as Caesar in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on May 23, 2014.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite movies of 2011. I've always loved the Planet of the Apes series, and the reboot/prequel was an amazing film. Whether or not Serkis should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor is an interesting discussion, but it should have been a no-brainer to give Rise of the Planet of the Apes the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. How Hugo won that one baffles me.
