Skyfall's Q Is Your IT Guy

We've known for awhile now that Ben Wishaw would assume the role of Q in Skyfall, the upcoming James Bond film. Since the Daniel Craig reboot, Q hasn't been in the Bond films, a choice that most have chalked up to a desire to instill realism in the series. Both Desmond Llewelyn and John Cleese played 007's gadget inventor as a comical role, but I would have to guess that Wishaw's Q is going to be much more serious than those versions.

Our first shot of Wishaw as Q came today, courtesy of Comic-Con. A lot the Internet spent its time bitching that Wishaw is too young or too hipster, but if you've been paying attention to Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace, you should be more than aware that this version of Bond has zero problem blowing up the previous idea of what the character's world should be.
