TRAILER: Tom Cruise Has Nothing to Lose in 'Jack Reacher' (Well, Except Katie Holmes, I Guess)

When not making headlines for getting dumped by Katie Holmes or having Scientology thugs stalk his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Tom Cruise can be found in the new trailer for Jack Reacher. The film is apparently based on the book One Shot by Lee Child. I haven't read the book, so unlike everyone else on the Internet crying about Cruise not being tall enough to play Jack Reacher, I have no idea how tall the actor should be for this role. Because of this, I can thankfully accept the adaption without driving myself crazy.

When it comes to Cruise playing a violent hit man, let's not forget 2004's Collateral, which had Cruise playing a hit man opposite of Jamie Foxx. Cruise has proven himself in this kind of role before. Why shouldn't we expect him to pull it off again in Jack Reacher?
