OSCARINDEX: 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'Moonrise Kingdom' Move Into the Top 10

The Bill Kuchman Chronicle OscarIndex is a nifty chart of the top ten films that you should be paying attention to in order to be ready for the the Oscars. Each film on the list is assigned an OscarIndex number, with the No. 1 film getting a score of 100. The following nine films then get OscarIndex numbers based on how much buzz they have going into the Academy Awards compared to the No. 1 film.

So what's new this week? The Master stays on top with Lincoln and Les Misérables rounding out the top three, but director David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook makes its OscarIndex debut at No. 4. Silver Linings Playbook, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, earned rave reviews at last week's Toronto International Film Festival. The film wound up winning TIFF's People's Choice Award, making it (and Lawrence especially) Oscar contenders.
