TRAILER: Congrats, Journalists, 'The Company You Keep' Thinks Shia LaBeouf Can Do Your Job in a Movie

All the President's Men, the film that told the story of Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, made journalism cool for an entire generation. While The Company You Keep also stars Robert Redford (and is directed by him too), I'm guessing that Shia LaBeouf isn't going to have quite the same inspiring effect on the next generation of reporters. The Company You Keep stars LaBeouf as a reporter who begins to expose the secret identity of a former member of the Weather Underground played by Redford. Based on the trailer, there's going to be a lot of hushed conversations that pretend to be journalismy.

In addition to LaBeouf and Redford, The Company You Keep also stars Susan Sarandon, Anna Kendrick, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, Brendan Gleeson, Brit Marling, Nick Nolte, Stephen Root, Stanley Tucci and Chris Cooper. If you want to be in the Oscar conversation, this is pretty much the cast you assemble ... LaBeouf aside, that is.
