Donald Glover Developing Pilot at NBC (Maybe NBC Isn't the AT&T of Networks?)

Maybe this isn't the darkest timeline after all. TV Guide broke the news on Wednesday that Donald Glover, best know as Community's Troy Barnes, was is developing a sitcom at NBC based on his own life.
The new sitcom is being developed as a starring vehicle for Glover. NBC is said to be committed to the project, and is close to sealing a deal for a put pilot (with a large penalty fee if it doesn't move forward) for the show, which would be loosely based on Glover's life.
Glover is developing the unnamed show with Matt Hubbard. The two previously worked together on 30 Rock, where both Glover and Hubbard won Emmys.

So NBC's actually doing something right here? Something smart? I'd say I'm speechless, but I'm usually speechless while typing unless I'm reading what I'm typing out loud for some reason. Glover has been on fire for the past year or two, writing for 30 Rock, starring in Community and Mystery Team, releasing music as Childish Gambino. If anyone deserves a chance at his own sitcom, it's Glover.

Don't Britta this one, NBC.
