TRAILER: Why Don't We Have a Game of Riddles with 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'

A brand new trailer for director Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hit the Internet this morning, showing everyone that, even a decade later, we can still return to Middle Earth. Ian McKellan, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving and Cate Blanchett return from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, with Martin Freeman joining the cast as Bilbo Baggins.

Any bets on the level of Oscar buzz that Serkis gets from Gollum in this film? His first go-round as Gollum in the original trilogy revolutionized motion-capture acting. He put on a performance of a lifetime as Caesar in last year's Rise of the Planet of the Apes. And now, the motion-capture in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey looks even better than the last time we saw Gollum. Thankfully, there's no way Hugo can inexplicably win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects again this year.
