Alison Brie (or Some Other Actress) Will Be the Love Interest in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

The news broke on Tuesday that Marvel has five actresses on its short list for a role that's possibly (and probably) Captain America's love interest in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Because this website exists on the Internet, the home of all things awesome, it should be no surprise that Community's Alison Brie is the name among the five that we're most excited about. Marvel is also looking at Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, Downton Abbey's Jessica Brown Findlay, Warm Bodies' Teresa Palmer and 28 Weeks Later's Imogen Poots.

But let's be serious here — Marvel, if you know what's good for you, you cast Brie, and you do it now. Right now. Let's look at the math here (I'm horrible at math, so someone should check my work). Eighty-three percent of all GIFs on the Internet are of Alison Brie. Adding Brie to the Captain America sequel would allow Marvel to work her into The Avengers 2. The Avengers had the biggest opening weekend at the box office in the history of the world. Geek icon Joss Whedon earned rave reviews for The Avengers and is now in charge of pretty much the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Add Alison Brie to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and you'll win the Internet.
