Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Will Host Golden Globes, Ending Ricky Gervais' Hosting Reign

On Monday night it was announced that former Weekend Update co-anchors Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would host the 2013 Golden Globes. This move ends Ricky Gervais' three-year reign as host, both ushering in some great, new hosting talent and wrapping up an infamous hosting run.

Interestingly enough, both Fey and Poehler were on my 10 People Who Should Host the 2013 Oscars list. With Seth MacFarlane now hosting those Oscars, Fey and Poehler get the second-biggest movie awards stage. The Golden Globes air Jan. 10, 2013, on NBC and should give a better idea of who's going to be the favorite going into the Oscars.
