Josh Brolin, Emma Stone and Sean Penn Want You to See 'Gangster Squad'
In an alternative universe, Gangster Squad would've hit theaters on Sept. 7, 2012, and we all would have seen it by now. After the movie theater shootings in July, Warner Bros. delayed the release of Gangster Squad to remove a scene where Sean Penn's character shot up a theater and shoot replacement scenes.
With Gangster Squad now debuting on Jan. 11, 2013, Warner Bros. is ramping up promotion of the film. The Gangster Squad Facebook released eight character banners on Thursday, showing off the A-list cast the film boasts. Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin, Michael Pena, Giovanni Ribisi and Robert Patrick all made the cut for this promotion. No word yet on why Nick Nolte got left out.
