'Glee' Star Cory Monteith Dead at 31

People aren't supposed to die at 31. That's not how the world is supposed to work. Sadly, though, Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver, Canada, hotel room Saturday night at that age. Multiple sources, including the New York Times, are reporting that police do not suspect foul play in the death.

Monteith is best known for his role as Finn Hudson on the Glee. As a jock-turned-singer, Finn exemplified the Glee ideal that anyone could step beyond the role that society had assigned him. I watched Glee for its first two seasons, and while Monteith was playing a high schooler even though he was in his late 20s, the actor was always one of the show's strengths.
