AWKWARD: Tom Clancy Dies, Then Paramount Releases the First 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit' Poster

On Thursday, author Tom Clancy passed away at the age of 66. Shortly after, Paramount Studios released the first poster for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. I'm not sure if this was a weird coincidence or just some tacky way to piggyback on Clancy's death.

Anyways, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is Paramount's reboot of the Jack Ryan franchise. Star Trek star Chris Pine takes over the title role, following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck. Thor director Kenneth Branagh is both helming the movie and playing its villain. Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner are also part of the movie's cast.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit hits theaters on Dec. 25, so you'd think we'd be getting a trailer soon. For now though, head past the jump to check out the poster.
