NBC Orders New Rob Lowe Single-Cam Comedy 'The Pro'

Rob Lowe literally won't be staying away from NBC for long. While it was announced in August that Lowe and Rashida Jones would be leaving Parks and Recreation half way through the show's sixth season, Lowe and NBC will continue to work together, with the network giving The Pro a production commitment.

According to Deadline, The Pro will star "Lowe as former tennis doubles champion 'Big Ben' Bertrahm, whose career flame-out and misguided investments have left him working as the pro at a tennis and golf club, where he tries to hustle and charm his way back into America’s 1%."

Remember when Lowe joined Parks and Rec? Everyone cited his work on The West Wing and Brothers and Sisters as proof that Lowe was crazy for switching over to the sitcom world. After he acclaimed stint on Parks and Rec, Lowe made it clear that he's a great comedic talent. We'll have to wait until next season to see if The Pro continues that streak.
